First Look: Mascot for 2011 Cricket World Cup


"Appu", the elephant was the mascot of the 1982 Asian Games in New Delhi and its almost around three decades down the line , again it has been given the same role at the ICC cricket world cup.

It has been jointly hosted by india , sri lanka and Bangladesh.



this mascot was believed to bring good luck, especially one kept as the symbol of an organization such as a sports team.it was relieved in colombo, in April 2 and the World Cup organisers on Monday announced that cricket fans based in the host nations would be able to participate in a contest to name the mascot.

"It also emphasises the enthusiasm of youth both in general and for Cricket itself, especially on the sub-continent with its massive and dedicated following. He's stylised to give an instantly recognisable graphic strength so that with exposure his bold lines and strong colouring will instantly create a friendly face for the CWC," tournament director Ratnakar Shetty said in a media release.

Reliance Big buys half of UK's games co Codemasters

MUMBAI :Reliance Big industries, has bought half of UK's code-masters of publishing company and games for a undisclosed amount.

The investment on code-masters is expected to open up the fast growing crazy indian market for these code-masters , and to access many games in which local interest is growing .

Codemasters has franchises in The Ashes cricket series, Formula 1 and Dirt2 racing games, and military simulations like Operation Flashpoint 2, including others. Its revenues is more than $150 million.

codemasters and Relaince's Zapak digital entertainment are into same business " it is a strong global gaming portfolio" said rohit sharma the C.E.O of , zapak.
