hot news from ipl

LUCKNOW: The dlf company is in a legal mess for painting the name of Indian country on the ground's during the opening of IPL match.

On friday , the lucknow bench of the allahabad high court summoned IPL and DLF chairpersons, Lalit Modi and KP Singh, to make a personal appearance in the court on April 21.

The bench had on March 23 directed the additional solicitor-general of India to get the response of the Central government as to whether use of country's name on cricket grounds was improper and dishonoured to the nation as it was being trampled by cricketers, groundsmen and other persons. Though the ministry of youth affairs and sports, which replied on behalf of the Central government, has admitted that it was a disrespectful act, it has said that it had not given permission to the DLF company to use the said logo.

As the logo used by the dlf company uses the name of india so they painted on the ground for their add so all players run on it . so the ministry has submitted a letter to the additional solicitor general of India regarding this .

As the DLF company has painted 'DLF Building India' on the field in the IPL matches, a public interest litigation (PIL) filed by a Lucknow-based society had sought restriction on the practice in order to avoid "use of the name of the country on cricket grounds in order to avoid embarrassment to the countrymen".

However, the ministry did not disclose as to what it was going to do to check this "disrespect".
